Interesting Times Details

Interesting Times, the seventeenth novel in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, finds the planet's oldest empire in the midst of bitter turmoil after the publication of the revolutionary treatise What I Did on My Holidays. Workers, with nothing to lose but their water buffaloes, are joining forces against old warlords, spreading violence throughout Discworld's ancient cities. All that stands in the way of total destruction are 3 decidedly non-heroic creatures: Rincewind, the world's dumbest wizard; Cohen the Barbarian, who stands 5 feet tall in his surgical sandals; and a very special butterfly. Reviews

****THE KINDLE EDITION ISN'T TERRY PRATCHETT'S "INTERESTING TIMES". IT IS STEPHEN BRIGGS' STAGE ADAPTATION OF THAT NOVEL!****While still an interesting read, by his own admission, Mr. Briggs has shaved, crimped, and outright 'ectomied the book to allow the story to fit into a two-and-a-half hour time slot on stage. You will not get the "Full Pratchett" from this book.Unfortunately, this also seems to be the only Kindle edition of "Interesting Times" available on Amazon. Every time I click on anything to do with this title, it brings me here.I will read this adaptation, for now, and maybe try again at a later date to acquire the full novel.
